Keen gardeners in Norwich hope to prove the Fine City is blooming beautiful in a national horticultural show.
Norwich Business Improvement District (BID) has been announced as a finalist in the BID category of this year's Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Britain in Bloom competition.
The city will compete against London Bridge, Mansfield, Blackburn and Penrith in the category, with judges due to visit on Tuesday, August 8. This year's contest marks the first time the city has competed in the category.
It comes after the BID triumphed in the Anglia in Bloom 2016 competition.
Stefan Gurney, executive director of the BID, said: 'We are extremely proud to be finalists in this year's RHS Britain in Bloom campaign which is testament to the hard work of everyone involved.'
The visit will be led by Michael King, city host manager, and assisted by others, including City College Norwich students, who are growing more than 20,000 plants for the judging route.
