A man in his 60s has been taken to hospital after he was found unconscious at a home in Lowestoft.

The air ambulance landed on the playing field of Northfield St Nicholas Primary School, on St. Margaret's Road, to assist.

The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to an incident on Worthing Road at 2.21pm today.

An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a community first responder and the East Anglian air ambulance attended and treated a man in his 60s who was unconscious but breathing.

He was taken to James Paget Hospital for further care.

The school office confirmed that the air ambulance was given permission to land but they were not sure of the nature of the incident.
