The air ambulance was called to a three vehicle smash in Alby this morning which blocked one lane of the A140.

A Citroen van, Nissan Micra and Renault Traffic van collided near the Alby Horse Shoes Inn at around 9.20am.

Three police cars were called to the scene and directed traffic around the crash site while the air ambulance was scrambled to deal with casualties.

The helicopter was just about to land when it was stood down as the injuries were reported to be minor. A woman taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital in an ambulance response car with a minor knee injury.

The road was re-opened by 11.30am.
