Air ambulance called after woman falls down stairs in Norwich

A woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition after falling down the stairs in Norwich.

The East of England Ambulance Service were called just before 9.20am on Monday to Heathgate to a report of a woman who had fallen down stairs and hit her head.

A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and East Anglian Air Ambulance were dispatched.

They treated a woman, believed to be in her 70s, who had suffered a head injury. She was taken to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by land ambulance in a serious condition.
