The Magpas Air Ambulance was called to a man who suffered back injuries after falling from a ladder in Bury Road, Brandon, yesterday.

The air ambulance arrived on the scene at 3.58pm and assessed the man, in his late 60s, who had a suspected fracture to his back.

Magpas doctor Leigh Bissett and paramedic Dan Read provided the man with pain relief.

The East Of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance crew and rapid response vehicle.

The man was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital by land ambulance and was described as being in a serious condition.
