East Anglian breweries are among more than a dozen which have teamed up to produce a limited edition beer for this weekend's Great Get Together - a celebration of the late Jo Cox MP's belief in shared values.

The event, from June 16 to 18, is expected to be the biggest set of neighbourhood celebrations since the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, and will mark one year since the murder of the MP for Batley and Spen.

Fergus Fitzgerald, head brewer at Adnams in Southwold, was approached first and pulled together a group to work on the beer.

Great Get Together Pale Ale has been produced in collaboration with Adnams, Elgoods in Wisbech, and Woodfordes of Woodbastwick, along with other breweries, bottlers and labellers.

Profits will go to the Jo Cox Foundation, which works to bring together communities in the spirit of Mrs Cox's words that 'We have far more in common than that which divides us.'
