The incident occurred at around 7.30am this morning, on the westbound side of the carriage half way between the Trowse and Harford Bridge junctions when a crane vehicle and a Peugeot van collided, with one of the vehicles hitting the central reservation.

The incident initially caused long tail backs with drivers advised to allow an extra 35-minutes for their journeys.
