Traffic was diverted from the A47 today after the road was closed following an accident involving two motorcycles.
The accident at about 8am near Trowse on the carriageway heading towards Snetterton, where the World Superbike Championship took place this weekend, caused delays for about two hours.
A police spokesman said the accident was not serious but oil on the road presented a hazard.
The opposite lane heading toward Yarmouth also became congested and tailbacks continued after the road was reopened at about 10am.
It was the second accident of the weekend on the A47. At 9.40pm on Saturday three fire appliances were called to the Acle roundabout. A car had caught fire following an accident.
