A47 reopens after serious collision

The A47 was closed for several hours yesterday at Honingham following a serious collision.

Drivers were told to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.

The collision between two vehicles occurred at the junction with Berrys Lane.

The road was reopen this morning but fire crews from Dereham and Earlham attended last night and released one person using hydraulic rescue equipment.

They gave casualty care and made the vehicles and surrounding area safe.
