The A1122 at Nordelph, near Downham Market, reopened today after months of roadworks.
Drivers travelling through the Fens between Downham and Wisbech are spared lengthy diversions caused by the closure.
Road markings and other minor works to finish the project have not yet beeen completed.
These will be carried out when the warmer weather comes, but the road will remain open, officials said this morning.
