A11 forced to close for 90 minutes after generator falls off lorry

The A11 had to close for more than 90 minutes near Thetford after a generator fell off a lorry.

Norfolk Police were called to the A11 roundabout at around 2pm with the A1075 to reports of a some plant equipment falling off a lorry, with diesel also spilled on the road.

The roundabout was reopened just after 3pm, with one lane of the northbound A11 carriageway reopened while recovery continued.

The A11 had reopened fully by 3.40pm, according to a police spokesman.
