A10 closed after head-on collision

The A10 is closed in both directions between Downham Market and Hilgay this morning after a head-on collision between two cars.Six people were hurt, one of whom was described as critivcally injured after a Peugot and a BMW collided near Hilgay at around 6.

Six people were hurt, one of whom was described as critivcally injured after a Peugot and a BMW collided near Hilgay at around 6.15am.

A police spokesman said: “The emergency services are still in attendance at the scene and the road remains closed at this time. Motorists are advised to be patient and follow the diversions in place.”

Drivers were diverted through Downham Market while police crash investigators examined the scene of the accident.

Elsewhere across the region there were a sting of minor accidents as plummeting temperatures brought icy roads and wintry showers.
