Pictures from a unique tribute to the Queen, published as she became our longest serving monarch, have gone on show at Sandringham.

Long To Reign Over Us celebrates Elizabeth II's life and links with Norfolk in photographs from the archives of the Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News.

From childhood days spent at Sandringham, it covers everything from candid private moments to great occasions, from the depths of mourning to the joy of a new arrival.

In our main image, Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret join King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to survey the harvest under way at Sandringham in the early 1940s.

These and other images spanning the Queen's 64-year reign are now on display in the museum at Sandringham, which opens today (11am) for the summer along with parts of the house.
