A band of volunteers is putting on seven nights of entertainment by north Norfolk performers as a community enterprise.
Organisers of Mundesley on Show hope the event will have the longevity of its predecessor, The Mundesley Festival, which ran for 30 years.
It will offer music, dancing and murder mystery among other attractions.
Organiser Kathryn Moore said: "We are offering the opportunity for north Norfolk performers of all ages and styles, supported by wonderfully generous businesses, to deliver seven nights of entertainment.
"It will be for north Norfolk residents and tourists and all in support of raising money, largely for Mundesley Coronation Hall charity, but also for Mundesley 1st Air Scouts.
"It's been hard work and taken true community spirit, especially as we are all novices at putting on what is in effect a festival.
"In these days of tightening budgets, and in the hope of attracting a wide audience of all ages, Mundesley on Show will have varied ticket prices, thanks to grants and assistance from businesses."
Sheringham musician Paul Thompson, who is launching his first album, will open the festival with Come to the Cabaret.
A slower pace will then follow with favourite classical and contemporary sounds with Norwich-based Cordes Strings Quartet.
Another night will bring the challenge of unravelling the tangled web of lies and deceit and solving the Awards Ceremony Murder Mystery. This will be performed by north Norfolk's Dreamstone Productions strolling players, often seen on the Poppyline steam railway.
Mundesley on Show will then wind back the years with a 1940s dance with Norfolk vocalist Sarah Mai and her band, the Rhythm Riots.
Meanwhile, Trotters Bottom Ceilidh will get even the most reticent dancers strutting their stuff.
Mundesley 1st Air Scouts will perform a Gang Show and a punk pop concert, with the show fundraising for a climbing wall and a Ghana trip.
The festival will close with performances by local punk pop bands Couch, Adventures By Post and Foreign Bier.
Mundesley on Show runs at Coronation Hall from August 8-17. Tickets at Ticketsource.co.uk / 0333 666 3366. A limited number are available at The Corner House, Mundesley.
