A holiday let could become an affordable home to "aid the community" in a second homes hotspot young people can't afford to live in.
Lorna Goddall has applied to change the use of the property in South Creake, near Fakenham.
A planning statement said permission granted to convert a stable block into a home in 2010 said it could only be used for "ancillary" accommodation or as a holiday let.
Now Ms Goddall says the two-bed house called Barleycroft, on The Common beside the main B1355 Fakenham Road, could "aid the rural community".

"It is no secret there is very limited housing supply for local residents in the area due to the large proportion of housing stock used as holiday lets," the statement adds.
"This has, in turn, pushed house values up and made them unaffordable for most locals."
The statement says young people are forced to move away from the area because they can't afford mortgages, which reduces the employee pool for local businesses and farms.
