A woman has been charged after two people were taken to hospital following a violent incident in King's Lynn.
Officers were called to Hillington Square shortly after 9.15am on Monday after receiving reports of an altercation.
The road was closed and a police cordon was put up as officers began their investigations.
A woman in her 30s was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with suspected serious facial injuries but further assessment revealed the injuries to be bruising and she has since been discharged.
A different woman in her 30s was arrested and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning before being moved to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment for her own injuries.
Kirsty Mills, 36, of Hillington Square, King's Lynn, was subsequently charged with two counts of assault and one count of intentional strangulation.
Mills appeared at Norwich Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty.
She was released on bail and will appear at Norwich Crown Court on November 19.
A man in his 40s who was also arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation was released without charge.
