An educational programme that offers a wide range of activities to youngsters such as archery has opened in a Suffolk village

The WoodView Project in Worlingham, near Beccles, is providing a space for young people to gain skills “for lifelong learning”.

It is set in 34 acres of woodland on Marsh Lane and offers a range of activities including archery and craft projects.

The alternative education provision looks to provide “therapeutic intervention and support to young people with special educational and complex needs".

The project offers one-to-one tuition to help young people succeed with a personalised curriculum.

The provision has been quality assured by Suffolk education bosses.

Darran Miah, director of the project, said: “More and more young people are finding education challenging and may benefit from a personalised approach to learning”.

“The WoodView Project believes everyone has ability, they just need to be recognised and nurtured to find it.
