A council has issued a warning after reports of a rogue trader "going to door to door".
Norfolk County Council Trading Standards issued the alert after receiving reports of the man in the Hopton area on Tuesday morning.
People reported the man claimed he was "working around the corner" and stated he could see issues with their roof tiles.
They also issued advice alongside the warning which said: "Never deal with cold callers looking to undertake work on or around your property.
"When looking to have work done on or around your property only deal with reputable companies you have researched and chosen yourself and have obtained a written quotation from before commencing the work."
Anyone who sees cold callers operating in Norfolk is asked to contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline on 0808 223 1133 or Norfolk Constabulary on 101.
There is a Norfolk Trusted Trader directory of Trading Standards approved members featuring feedback from previous customers.
