Police officers were called to an incident in a Norfolk village last Friday after reports of a burglary.
Officers arrived at Malthouse Yard, in Main Road, Brancaster Staithe, in response to a theft from the harbour.
Four outboard engines were stolen from the yard overnight Thursday into Friday last week.
Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with CCTV footage.
