A couple given permission for a new property near a picturesque beach have applied to build a larger one.
Developers named as Mr and Mrs Twite have been given planning permission to demolish an existing property on Golf Course Road, at Old Hunstanton and replace it with a new detached house and garage.
But West Norfolk Council's planning committee has now been recommended to approve plans for a larger property on the same site when it meets on Monday, July 29.
A report to councillors says: "The application seeks full planning consent for the construction of a replacement dwelling within the development boundary for Old Hunstanton which is considered acceptable in principle.
"The site has extant consent for the construction of a smaller 1.5 storey dwelling however this application was submitted at the same time and seeks consent for a taller 2.5 storey dwelling with rooms in the roof space."
The report says Old Hunstanton Parish Council is opposed to the new proposals, describing them as "overdevelopment" of the site.
But it adds the new property is considered to be "of a suitable scale".
