The Stowen Group has provided efficient services to the energy industry since 2014. Founding company Stowen Ltd was created with a mission to provide the oil and gas industry with complete project management.

Having gained success and proven capability, Stowen naturally grew from a single sector into a multi-sector service provider, creating a renewables division – Stowen Clean Energy – shortly followed by an entry into nuclear.

In combination, the Stowen Group was formed as a ‘single vendor with a complete solution for all energy sectors’.

Today, Stowen Group continues to grow and expand its offerings to new sectors and industries. Its commitment to quality, safety and efficiency remains at the core of everything it does, and it continues to deliver projects that meet the highest standards.

As the energy sector continues to evolve and change, Stowen Group is well-positioned to meet the challenges of the future and continue to provide the highest levels of service to its clients.

Stowen’s approach to providing solutions is simple, yet effective. The company offers three distinct service offerings that cover everything from maintenance and modifications to construction and project management, as well as inspection and integrity.

“By providing these three core services, Stowen is able to provide a complete solution to clients – from initial planning through to completion,” said Kieron Ford, business growth director. “We work closely with clients to ensure we understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet their expectations.”

The company’s ability to deliver comprehensive solutions has made it a trusted partner for energy companies looking for a reliable and efficient partner to help them manage complex projects.

Competency is key

Competency is a crucial aspect of the energy sector, and Stowen Group recognises this fact. To ensure that its clients receive high-quality service, the company created Hexis Training.

The training company is dedicated to providing the energy sector with accredited technical training to ensure that workers have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.

Hexis Training’s expertise was put to the test when a gap analysis revealed a need for improvement in the competence of inspection services in the wind sector.

To address this issue, Hexis Training, in collaboration with Stowen Group, developed a cohort of industry experts across multiple operators and service companies.

The cohort worked alongside the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) to create a technical training standard for offshore wind statutory inspectors.

“This initiative highlights Stowen Group’s commitment to providing its clients with the highest standards of quality and safety,” said Kieron. “By addressing competency issues within the industry, we are helping to ensure that workers are well-trained and capable of delivering top-quality service.

“The creation of Hexis Training and the development of a technical training standard for offshore wind statutory inspectors is just one example of the company’s dedication to excellence.”

Bringing it all together

Stowen and Hexis collaborate closely to ensure that their clients receive top-quality service every time – and that clients’ assets meet regulatory and safety requirements while operating efficiently.

Stowen’s team of experts also collaborate with Hexis Training to ensure that employees are trained to the highest standards. This means that their employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.

“Stowen Group brings all of these service offerings together to provide clients with solutions to every challenge,” Kieron said. “Our industry experience and knowledge – combined with a focus on quality, safety and efficiency – ensures that clients receive the highest levels of service.”

Stowen was recently awarded a five-year agreement with Norwegian energy company Equinor. The framework will see Stowen complete advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) methods within confined spaces of monopiles to monitor the structures located off the coast of Norfolk.

“The award from Equinor has given us the ability to continue the investment into local skills development through NDT apprenticeships whilst securing sustainable local jobs,” said Kieron.
