It is literally one of Norfolk’s ‘highlights’.

And now volunteers are needed for a series of planned open days at Happisburgh Lighthouse.

The lighthouse trust has openings for roles including welcoming visitors, staffing the gift shop, and guiding tours up the 112 steps to the lantern room.

A spokesman said: “You don't need a head for heights to be able to volunteer - though it helps if you're a tour guide - and training will be given.”
