A seafront pavilion is set for a weekend of celebrations - with fun for all the family.

After organisers last month hailed the success of "hugely popular" singalong movie nights at the East Point Pavilion in Lowestoft, the latest screening will take place this Sunday.

But ahead of that, there will be a two-day celebration of all things Irish for St Patrick’s Day.

A special programme of live music kicks off on Friday, March 17, with John and Lynne Ward performing an acoustic folk set from 7pm to 9pm.

Then on Saturday, March 18 buskers will entertain from noon to 3pm, followed by Murphy’s Lore from 3pm to 5pm and Paddy’s Craic from 7pm to 9pm.

A selection of Irish beers will be available from Sir Toby’s Beers, along with drinks on cask and local breweries local bitters.

East Point Pavilion’s food vendors Tres Hermanas, Amor, Slice - who will be serving Chocolate Guinness Cake - and Toasties, who will be serving the Irish toasted special with ham, cheese, onion and tomato.

There will be plenty of activities to keep the children entertained too - with face painting from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, cupcake decorating with Slice (£2 per cake, self-led activity) from 1.30pm to 3pm, and rounding off the day there will be St Patrick’s Day crafts on offer (50p per pack, self-led activity).

On Sunday, March 19 celebrations will turn to Mother’s Day with a family singalong showing of Mamma Mia Here We Go Again.

A pavilion spokesman said: "Enjoy a pre-singalong quiz and warm up, and tuck into delicious food including Mother’s Day picnic boxes (£15 per person) which include a selection of finger sandwiches, mini sausage roll, cheese scone and butter, crisps, fruit scone, clotted cream and jam and three pieces of cake all freshly made to enjoy at East Point Pavilion or to take away."
