A councillor who was just 19 when first elected to Norfolk County Council has resigned.
Conservative Ed Colman, first elected in 2017, has stepped down after six years of representing Swaffham at County Hall.
Mr Colman, who chaired the council's corporate select committee and represented Swaffham on Breckland District Council, has stepped down because of a new job.
He said: "After almost six years representing Swaffham on Norfolk County Council, and almost four years representing the town on Breckland Council, I have resigned to accept a politically restricted role with a mayoral combined authority.
"The highlight has been being able to reinstate vital school bus services and working with officers to secure the funding from the Department for Transport for our flexibus pilot scheme; connecting local villages to the town to boost connectivity.
“It’s been a great experience and I want to thank all the officers at both Norfolk County Council and Breckland for their support and hard work during my time as a councillor."
His departure will trigger by-elections for both county and district divisions.
