A woodland area in West Dereham has become a regular spot used by fly-tippers.

Down Lime Kiln Road, in a spot just off the beating track, near Wereham (Crimplesham) Recycling Centre, is often used as an alternative dumping ground.

Emma Drew, from West Dereham, reported the incident to the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk after being appalled by the sight.

She said: "We're a nice quiet village just off the A134 and it is just where everything seems to be getting dumped - it's a real shame."

While it is often quick to be cleared away, fly-tipping has a negative impact on the environment.

A spokesperson for the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, said: "Fly-tipping is, of course, something we take very seriously because of the effect on the environment and wildlife.
