A Norfolk grandmother is retiring early after winning £1.7m on an online betting game.
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, hit the jackpot earlier this week while playing Paddy Power's Bonanza Megapays.
She staked 60p on a spin that put her through to the final round - ultimately winning her £1,710,446.42.
The grandmother of seven, who works part-time at Tesco, said: “I was sitting there having a little play as I do most evenings. I take turns playing different games.
“I’ve had some luck before, but never anything like this.
"I won the jackpot and I just sat there watching the numbers climb from £120 to £1,400 to £50,000 and I just shouted ‘oh my God’.
"It didn’t stop until it got to £1.7m.
"I had to call my husband over and ask him to read the numbers because I couldn’t believe my own eyes.”
The woman said she is still in shock after winning the life-changing sum and has no immediate plans for the money other than making sure her family has a very merry Christmas.
She added: “Both myself and my husband work part-time so we’ve decided to take early retirement.”
