20,000 fans expected for Eastern Haze
As many as 20,000 music fans are expected to attend the second Eastern Haze Festival in the grounds of Somerleyton Hall, near Lowestoft.The event over the weekend of July 20-22 is billed as further establishing north Suffolk's position on the festival map - coming just a week after the second Latitude Festival on the Henham Estate, near Southwold.

As tickets went on sale for Eastern Haze, Hugh Crossley, the owner of Somerleyton Hall, promised a festival that would “appeal across the board to people of all ages and not just one type of person”.
Big-name bands and DJs from across the world will perform on eight stages, along with performers from Norfolk and Suffolk. And the event will have a green feel with a wind-and-solar-powered cinema, eco-friendly events in the green area, and power supplied from bio-diesel generators.
Headlining on the main stage on the Friday night will be The Blockheads, with Phil Jupitus, star of TV music quiz Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Festival favourites Ozric Tentacles will be Saturday's headline act and on Sunday, The Bootleg Beatles will be paying tribute to the Fab Four.

Mr Crossley said: “All we need is weather like last year and it will be great for families with our green area and kiddies' area. We know the first festival was very well received even though it may not have been full of headline acts. Last year there was inevitably some local concern but in the event everyone felt it went well and was not disruptive. And we work very well with Waveney District Council which has become a lot more aware of what is involved with the Latitude Festival as well.”
Festival organiser Seb Fosdal said: “With a whole year to plan the festival this time we have become involved with a lot more local organisations. There is such a wealth of talent in East Anglia and we try to promote local artists as well acts from across the country.”
Music fans will also be able to see Levellers Acoustic, headlining on the acoustic stage on Saturday night, and a diversity of other acts on the Next, Club, Reggae, Hip Hop and Drum 'n' Bass stages.
Family events will range from arts- and-crafts activities through to dance, drumming and yoga workshops. Once again, the free children's area will be run by Norwich-based, non-profit-making organisation Imagination.
The green area will include a display of green crafts, including wood and stone carving, as well as examples of alternative-build technologies and low-impact living schemes.
