Music, mascots and maroons, all on a trip down memory lane. Here are just a few things you may remember if you grew up in Lowestoft in certain eras.

1. From Fisher boys' in bright coloured suits and herring girls, to The Grit - the town's almost forgotten fishing village.

2. Watching boxing and wrestling at the 'Palais de Danse' or do you recall it as a music and dance hall, with a roller-skating rink?

3. Being scared when a prisoner went 'on the run' from Blundeston Prison.

4. You would go clubbing at Hedley House, Tiffins, Hanks Bar and the Brown Boat Suite at The Wherry.

5. Standing outside at Lowestoft railway station, under a covered roof.

6. Heading down to Children's Corner to enjoy the sea and sands of the South Beach.

7. You could hear the 'maroons' going off when the 'Spirit of Lowestoft' lifeboat was called out.

8. You were able to throw 1p and 2p coins onto the passing Carnival floats.

9. Using the Lowestoft Corporation brown and cream buses or the Eastern Counties red buses.

10. You joined thousands of others and supported Lowestoft Town FC at Wembley for the FA Vase Final.

11. Being able to drive both ways along the entire stretch of London Road South.

12. You used the underground toilets at South Pier, near to where the Royal Plain fountains are now based.

13. Meeting Woody Bear and his mascot pals for the first time at Pleasurewood Hills.

14. Seeing The Rolling Stones, David Bowie and The Hollies at The Royal Hotel which became East Point Pavilion on South Pier.

15. Trying out the electric boats at Kensington Gardens or the paddle boats on The Esplanade boating lake.
