13-year-old and 12-year-old among three arrested for burglary at former Beccles Middle School

A 13-year-old and a 12-year-old are among three to be arrested on suspicion of burglary at the former Beccles Middle School.

The two boys and a 23-year-old man, all from Beccles, were yesterday arrested after thousands of pounds worth of computer equipment was taken during a break-in at the school, in Castle Hill, between Friday, August 10 and Monday, August 13.

All three have been bailed, with the 13-year-old until September 1 and the 23-year-old man and 12-year-old boy until September 22.

The school site is in the process of being handed to the town's Sir John Leman High School after Suffolk County Council's schools shake-up.
