For plenty of youngsters, a five-a-side on a Sunday morning is often on the agenda.

And this weekend proved no exception, as hundreds of boys and girls laced up their boots for a popular tournament.

The Costessey Sports Club Five-a-side Tournament 2018 saw various teams compete over Saturday and Sunday, with groups broken down into age categories.

The 128 teams involved travelled to the venue, at Longwater Lane Park, from across the region, with groups from as far as Waveney and Aylsham. And, though clouds lingered for most of the day, there were refreshments and a barbecue for families to make the most of the summer event.

On Twitter, Costessey Sports said yesterday that 'another great day' was in full swing, with 'lots of great football on show' and visitors browsing the stalls.
