An 11-year-old girl was grabbed round her throat and punched on her arm at a recreation ground in Great Yarmouth.
The girl was approached by a woman at the St Nicholas Recreation Ground on South Beach Parade sometime after 3.15pm on Saturday, July 8.
The woman verbally threatened the 11-year-old and assaulted her. The suspect is white, aged in her early 20s, and had black hair in plaits and was wearing a black top with an animal motif on the front.
She also had a ginger/golden Staffie type of dog with her.
The victim suffered reddening to the back of her neck and has been left feeling distressed as a result of the incident.
Officers are appealing to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the assault.
