The date for the star-studded Jamie's Game football match has been scheduled for Sunday, May 21, 2017, with a whole host of celebrities lined up to take part. The game, now in its fifth year, is organised by the Community Sports Foundation (CSF) at Carrow Road and raises money to encourage disadvantaged and disabled individuals to participate in sport. It is named after CSF ambassador Jamie Abbott who has Down's Syndrome, and has raised over £200,000 to date. From EastEnders to The Only Way is Essex, we take a look at ten of the celebrities who are pitching in this year.
Calum Best - TV Star
Fresh out of the Celebrity Big Brother house, the 36-year-old reality star, and son of Manchester United icon the late George Best, is hoping he'll be simply the Best on the pitch.
Jake Wood - Eastenders
Jake's character in Eastenders Max Branning has had a rough year on the BBC1 soap, with a spell in prison after being blamed for the murder of Ian Beale's daugher Lucy (the culprit turned out to be his 11-year-old son Bobby.) After finishing a respectable 5th in the 2014 series of Strictly Come Dancing he'll probably cha-cha-charge to the goal on May 21.
Dan Osborne – The Only Way is Essex
Keeping it in the family, Dan has a child called Ella with Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Max Branning's daugher Lauren in EastEnders. Dan starred in ITV's The Only Way is Essex from 2013-2015 and also took part in last year's Jamie's Game.
Darren Eadie – Ex-Norwich FC
Former Norwich City footballer and Mustard TV presenter Darren returns for his 5th year to the charity game. He is also the founder of celebrity auction site Sellebrity which supports the event.
Tubes – Soccer AM
Tubes, aka Peter Dale, has also taken part every year and is one of the hosts of Saturday morning football talk/comedy show Soccer AM on Sky Sports.
Dean Gaffney – Eastenders
Former Eastenders actor Dean Gaffney is hoping he'll be Vic-torious in this year's game. He played Robbie Jackson in the soap from 1993-2003 and was the child of Carol Branning, the sister of Max. Since then he's appeared in shows including Extras, Misfits and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!
Nev Wilshire – The Call Centre
The eccentric boss of Swansea's 3rd largest call centre catapulted to fame after his appearance on the BBC3 documentary. On the show, Nev was seen starting the working day with a sing-along and challenged one of his employees to an arm wrestle to receive a promotion. Let's hope he brings the same fighting spirit to Carrow Road.
Harvey – So Solid Crew
So Solid Crew had their first UK number one in 2001 with hit record 21 seconds and went on to become one of the biggest hip hop groups of the early 2000s. Harvey appeared in Celebrity Big Brother 10, finishing in 6th place, and was signed for St Albans City in 2007, but had to leave due to work commitments.
Gavin Ramjaun – TV Presenter
Gavin joined Newsround in 2007 and also presented spin-off Sportsround. He joined BBC Breakfast in 2009 and from 2011-12 worked as the Sports Corespondent on ITV's Daybreak.
Stevi Richie – X Factor
2014 contestant Stevi Ritchie has featured in a number of reality TV shows since finishing 9th on the show, and is hoping to bring the X-Factor on the pitch. He appeared on series 16 of Celebrity Big Brother with fiancée and fellow X-Factor contestant Chloe Jasmine and finished in 5th place.
