Bring in the New Year full of blessings and wisdom with prayers to Buddha Tara at the Amoghasiddhi Kadampa Buddhist Centre and Oasis World Peace Caf� in Attleborough.
Prayers to Tara, who protects people from danger and guides them in their learning and personal development, will take place at the centre in Queens Square on Monday, December 31, at 3-4pm, 7-8pm and 11pm-midnight (followed by mince pies), then on Tuesday, January 1, at 3-4am, 7-8am and 11am-noon.
A Lamrim Retreat will take place from Wednesday, January 2, to Tuesday, January 8. This is a series of 21 easy meditations on subjects such as making the most of our precious human life, death and impermanence, actions and effects, renunciation, developing equanimity, kindness, equalizing self and others, great compassion, wishing love and giving.
Each retreat session is 1 hour 15 minutes, and consists of prayers, a short teaching and a guided meditation. �2.50 per session.
