The free Bride app puts everything from florists to jewellers in one easy to find place

Planning a wedding is an exciting time – but there's so much to organise. From choosing a venue and deciding on food to flowers and entertainment – not to mention finding that dream dress – your to-do list can seem endless.

Featuring some of Norfolk and Suffolk's top wedding suppliers, the new Bride app from Archant, publisher of the Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times, is like having your own personal wedding planner. And best of all, it's completely free.

Available for the iPhone and iPad, to install it on your device all you have to do is go to the App Store (you'll need to be connected to the internet), enter 'planning a wedding' into the search box and click to download.

Once installed it's really easy to get started. The Bride app is divided into user-friendly sections so you can search for exactly what you're looking for in Norfolk, Suffolk and further afield, from fashion, jewellery and health and beauty (including make-up artists for the day and spas for some pre-wedding pampering) to venues (including transport to ensure you arrive in style), photographers and videographers, entertainment (including hen and stag do ideas as well as bands and discos), food and drink (from cakes to catering), wedding planners (including stationery), gift list providers and flowers.

As well as finding out about suppliers in your area, a handy function also lets you search by map, so if you're having your wedding in another part of the country you can see what's on offer there too.

You can also find out when and where the next EDP and EADT wedding shows are being held.

There are already lots of Norfolk and Suffolk businesses to browse, with more being added all the time. If you're looking for your showstopping dress, groomswear, bridesmaids' dresses, mother of the bride outfits or lingerie, then see what's on offer at Jarrold, Greenwoods menswear, Pure bridal boutique, Dreams Bridal, La Belle Angele, and Boutique of Dreams.

Dipples, Bradley Hatch and Tilletts jewellers have a huge range of jewellery, from the all-important wedding bands to the perfect accessories to gifts for your attendants on offer.

If you're looking a venue, then take a tour of the facilities at the Norfolk Mead Hotel or see what Victoria Marquees have to offer.

In-line Events and the Ultimate Stag and Hen Experience have plenty of ideas for entertainment in the run up to your wedding and the big day itself and if you're looking for honeymoon inspiration browse Fred Olsen and Travel Norwich Airport's virtual brochures.

And, of course, you'll need a photographer to capture all those special moments - and via the Bride app you can check out work by Dan Sunderland Photography.

General manager weddings Norfolk and Suffolk Diana Sims said: 'We're really excited to be able to

be able to offer Norfolk brides and grooms another way to help plan their special day, alongside our growing portfolio of wedding shows and magazines.

'With more than 10,000 downloads so far, it's also a brilliant way for local businesses to let potential customers know how they can help them create the wedding of their dreams.'
