A motorist has been reported for driving offences – after being caught travelling at 84mph in a 30mph zone in Lowestoft.
With Lowestoft Police officers carrying out speed enforcement checks in the town last night (Saturday), a motorist was clocked at driving almost three times the limit in a residential street in Lowestoft.
The incident happened at about 9.50pm, and Lowestoft Police tweeted this morning: 'Speed enforcement in Lowestoft last night resulted in a driver being reported. 84mph in a 30mph residential street.'
In response to this, the roads policing and firearms operations sergeant for the Norfolk and Suffolk roads policing unit, Sgt Chris Harris, tweeted: 'Shocking speed.. Nearly 3 times the limit. Just glad no one was hurt through actions of the driver.'
