Drivers face three months of delays and diversions on one of the busiest approaches to Norwich.

Highways England said work on “extensive surveys of the road network around the A11/47 Thickthorn interchange” began today.

It said the work would take around three months and allow for future improvement works.

Work occurring away from the road will take place between 7am and 6pm. Works on the road will generally occur overnight, with working hours from 8pm to 6am. Highways England said clearly signed diversions will be in place for motorists when road closures are necessary.
