A selection of cars were displayed in front of The Forum in Norwich on Saturday as part of Norfolk and Norwich Rover Owners Club's ongoing 40th anniversary celebrations.

It was an ideal location for a display of models representing some 70 years of Rover car production, from a 1935 P2 to a 2005 75 and various models in between.

Chairman Russell James said 'This was the first time the club had put on a display for the general public, rather than the more traditional rally, and we were surprised by the level of interest.

'Many people had fascinating stories to tell about Rovers they had owned or that had been in their families. Surprisingly, we had a few people come up to us who had worked on the engineering side in the Rover company, Lotus and even DeLorian, who again had interesting stories to tell.

'We had a really good day, and went home happy in the thought that we had done our bit to keep the iconic Rover name alive in the minds of the general public.'
