An underpass in Norwich has been filled in, during the latest stage of safety improvements for pedestrians and cyclists in the city.
Work has been ongoing along St Crispins Road since April causing road closures on the ring road while the work is done.
A new pedestrian and cycle crossing is being built near to Anglia Square, from St Georges Street to Botolph Street.
With the old subway now filled in, cyclists and pedestrians will soon use a surface-level toucan crossing with segregated lanes.
The work will not be completed until August.
During the work, pedestrians and cyclists will need to use the crossing at the junction with Oak Street.
Once completed, it will help to link Lakenham in the south and Norwich Airport in the north for cyclists.
