The police helicopter was scrambled over Attleborough to help in the search for a wanted man.

South Norfolk police inspector Jason Selvarajah tweeted that the police activity in the area on Wednesday evening had been because a “vulnerable person” was wanted for an offence.

The police helicopter from Boreham in Essex joined the search, as did officers from British Transport police and the Norfolk and Suffolk police dogs unit.

Insp Selvarajah said the man was safely found and detained.
