The road north of Norwich, costing £178.5m, is starting to affect the landscape, with thousands of trees already felled to make way for it.

These photos were taken near Rackheath between Wroxham Road and Spixworth Road. They were sent to us on iwitness24.co.uk by David Harper.

Plumstead Road remains closed this week, until Thursday March 10, for BT and electricity cable diversions ahead of bridge construction that will take the NDR over Plumstead Road and the Norwich to Sheringham railway line.

The closure from the Plumstead Road crossroads with Broad Lane, to the Norwich side of the railway level crossing is also being used to carry out site clearance and hedge removal. There is a diversion along Broad Lane, Salhouse Road and Woodside Road.

Construction of the bridges over the railway and Plumstead Road will start in the summer and take until late 2017 to complete.

When complete, the NDR will run from Postwick to Taverham.
