Two roadworks projects will be taking place around Watton in July.

From Monday, July 4 carriageway resurfacing works will begin at two locations on Swaffham Road, Ashill – one adjacent to Ashill church and the other adjacent to the recycling centre.

During the works, which are expected to take two nights to complete, the road will be closed to all through traffic between 7pm and 7am.

A signed diversion via South Pickenham, Swaffham, A1065 Bodney, B1108 Watton and Saham Toney will be in place.

On Monday, July 11, delayed resurfacing works will take place on the B1108 Brandon Road at Little Cressingham. These are also expected to take two nights.

These works were scheduled to start today, June 30, but were delayed due to recent adverse weather.

During the works the road will be closed to all through traffic between 7pm and 7am and a signed diversion via B1108 Bodney, A1065 Mundford, A134 Thetford and A1075 Watton will be in place.

Norfolk County Council, which is managing the works, has apologised for any disruption they may cause.

The two projects will cost £90,000 in total and will be carried out by the council's community and environmental services department and their contractors.
