Hammond Accident Repair Centre, in Halesworth, has been awarded a prestigious contract by the NFU Mutual insurance company which will see it repair accident damaged vehicles and machinery from the insurer throughout Suffolk and Norfolk and the wider areas of East Anglia.

Miles Savage, NFU Halesworth, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have a local award-winning repairer on board. This will allow us to confidently direct our policy-holders to a place with the necessary skills and equipment to repair vehicles, from a car to a combine harvester, to our exacting high standards.”

Glen Hammond, Hammonds director, said: “This is fantastic news for our business and we are very proud to be closely associated with the NFU. We have worked very hard to reach the standard that we operate to and this new business will not only secure many local jobs, but hopefully allow us to grow further”.

Hammond Accident Repair Centre is part of the Hammond Group which employs 265 motor trade staff from five sites in Halesworth with a satellite trailer repair business at Dereham in Norfolk and a recovery business in Ipswich.

It repairs cars, commercials, heavy goods vehicles, including chassis straightening, and any agricultural machinery.
