Drivers will face disruption from next week when a section of the A47 between Norwich and Great Yarmouth is closed.
Highways England will be closing the A47 at North Burlingham, between High Noon Lane and South Walsham from Monday.
The closure is so work can be done to resurface that stretch of the A47, to install road studs and to carry out relining.
The work will be done between 8pm and 6am each day, for about four weeks.
Diversions will be in place during the closures.
Drivers heading westbound should follow South Walsham Road, Mill Road, Bell Lane, B1140, Norwich Road, Wroxham Road, A1151, Northern Distributor Road, A1270 before re-joining the A47.
Highways England said drivers heading eastbound should follow the directions in reverse.
