Drivers have been warned they will face disruption when resurfacing work is carried out on one of Norwich’s main roads.

Almost £40,000 of work to resurface Wroxham Road in Sprowston is due to start on Thursday next week.

The work will be done on the road from the junction with Church Lane to just south of the junction with Chenery Drive.

It will take two days and the work will be done between 9.30am and 4pm.

While the work is done, traffic will be controlled using two way temporary traffic lights.

Access to businesses and properties will be maintained, but bosses at Norfolk County Council said some disruption was “inevitable”.

A spokesman said: “The county council would like to thank people for their patience while these works to replace the existing worn out road surface are carried out.”
