Norfolk and Norwich Rover Owners Club put on a charity rally at Sandringham Country Park in aid of the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) on Sunday.

Cars were parked along the vista behind the visitor centre rather than the usual, more remote, event field which made for a wonderful display and attracted much interest from the public.

The theme was prestige and sporting cars from the past and club members were joined on the day by members of the Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and three MG clubs, together with a few special entries, which resulted in an excellent turnout with some 89 cars on show.

Despite heavy rain in the morning, the sun did shine and an enjoyable day was had by all with discounted entry to Sandringham House and Gardens, and the opportunity to explore the waymarked walks and sculpture trail in the surrounding woodland.

Prizes were awarded for the best car in each class as voted for by all those attending. Chris Donaldson, of the EAAA, presented the prizes of an engraved glass. And Norfolk and Norwich Rover Owners Club was able to present a cheque for £1,248 to the air ambulance thanks to the kind and generous donations of all those who brought their cars along for the day.
