Youngsters displayed their artistic talents by turning the front of The Forum in Norwich into an art gallery.

The event was staged by CarShop and Norwich City Football Club's Academy following the popular colouring competition held last year.

The competition gave children, aged between five and 16, the chance to take part in a football training day sponsored by the academy. The Canaries' Colney Training Centre will play host to the training session, with Norwich City coaching staff provided for the children.

As CarShop sponsors Norwich City Football Club's Academy Jackpot, it is fully behind inspiring the young into becoming more active. CarShop believes this competition is a great way to get youngsters active and to get involved with local sporting initiatives.

Michelle Munns, operations manager of CarShop Norwich in Whiffler Road, said: 'It's great to see that we've had a terrific reception from this event again, and we've actually seen an increase in the number of entrants compared to last year – all of which are looking fantastic. I also think that taking the voting to the public via Facebook created a sense of excitement for the occasion.'

She praised The Forum and Norwich City Football Club's involvement.

'From when we first drafted the idea to help local children get involved in sport, Norwich City Football Club have been tremendously supportive and behind us all the way. And, while we maybe a national business, we're dedicated to providing local support, and want to be involved in developing local talent.

'I'd also like to thank The Forum for facilitating the whole competition and allowing us to be part of their big screen showings, and run events within their grounds.'
