A stuck lorry which was leaving one lane of a busy road to Norwich closed has been freed, meaning the carriageway is now fully open.

South Norfolk Police Tweeted this morning that one of the roads where there is disruption caused by the Beast from the East is the A140 at Dunston, on the approach to Norwich.

Officers Tweeted: “A140 - Dunston, Norwich bound is down to one lane due to HGV’s not being able to get up the hill.”

However they later Tweeted to say: “A140 Dunston. The HGV that was stuck at this location as now been moved. Both lanes now open.”

The public are urged to report any non-urgent matters online at www.norfolk.police.uk and only to call 999 in an emergency.
