Motorists are set to face more delays as a number of other sections of a major road through the heart of Norfolk are to be closed overnight for resurfacing.
Many roads across the county have needed repairs following the Beast from the East, which has caused potholes to form and made existing damage to the road worse.
Emergency resurfacing works between the Attleborough and Thickthorn interchanges of the A11 are ongoing, with works scheduled to finish at 6am on Sunday, March 24.
Now Highways England, which manages Britain’s motorways and A-roads, has announced that it will start work to resurface the A11 northbound between Roudham Heath and Snetterton on Monday, March 19.
Those works will last three nights, with the road closed between 8pm and 6am.
A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via A1075 towards Watton, B1111 towards Larling, then Watton Road and Hargham Road to re-join A11 at Stone Cross interchange.
Work to resurface the southbound A11 at the Thetford bypass, from the A134/A1066 roundabout to B1107 Brandon Road roundabout, starts on Friday, March 23, lasting one night, with working hours of 8pm to 6am.
A clearly signed diversion route will be in place via A1066 Mundford Road, Norwich Road, London Road and A134 Brandon Road.
