Old Cromer lookout station for sale as home with a view
A clifftop former gun tower and coastguard lookout with stunning views over Cromer's shoreline is for sale with a guide starting price of 125,000.
The building has recently been refurbished as a two-storey home, but also has planning permission for extending into a three-bedroomed family house.
It is being sold at auction on October 27 by William H Brown, whose actions partner John Parsons said: 'Opportunities to purchase a unique home like this do not come around often.'
'You would be hard pushed to find a property with such an incredible sea view, in all weathers, in Cromer. This property is just truly spectacular.'
The Old Coastguard Station began life as a second world war gun control tower.
In 1972 it was handed over to the coastguards and altered for its new maritime surveillance role.
The tower was de-commissioned around 2000 and was passed to North Norfolk District Council who sold it to the current owners, who have refurbished the property to include a fitted kitchen, shower room, bedroom and reception room, which has a trap door to ground floor storage. Outside there is a private garden to the front of the property with sea views and a parking area.
