A new residential development comprising 52 new homes could be built on land to the north-east of Hempstead Road in Holt.
Hopkins Homes has applied to North Norfolk District Council to build the homes on the remainder of the land allocated for housing west of the current residential development under construction.
Twenty-three of the homes would be affordable, and a new access road would be built to the site from Hempstead Road. Public open space would also be provided within the development. The existing single-storey dwelling at number 67, Hempstead Road will be demolished and removed.
Holt, along with Cromer, Fakenham and North Walsham, has been designated as one of the four principal settlements within the district that are set to accommodate the largest proportion of the housing growth required to 2021. Holt will have to accommodate a minimum of 250 to 300 homes during this period.
